1. How People Paying Attention To You

How do you feel when many people are paying attention to you? When your opinion will be heard by at least dozens of people? When there’s a big chance that your opinion will be praised, criticized, and supported by many parties?

Well, when you speak, you’ll need at least one person to hear you, right? And you actually want it--you actually want at least one person to hear what are you talking about. But, how about hundreds of people? Do you feel it right when you’re being the center of attention?

Some people may love to be the center of attention--to be heard by thousands of people. If you are this kind of person, you’ll see that realizing thousands of people listen to you is good--it feels like that fulfillment feeling when one person are listening to you, but it’s multiplied thousands time.

2. How Big and Important Your Stage is

Your stage is the place where you fully take control. You are the one who controls the way the presentation is going. You are the center of attention. You can’t control thing that is bigger than who you are.

So, when you’re speaking on stage--whether it is inside the White House, or just at the local club--you are bigger and more well-known than the stage itself, because you control the stage.

And remember that you’re the chosen one. The stage’s administrator can’t just randomly pick one person and ask him to do the show. Choosing people who will speak actually needs some qualification processes. These processes actually calculate some aspects of you without needing your direct participation, like your speaking experience, your expertise in various topics, your humorous level, etc.. If you are the chosen one--who will speak in front of the audience, you’ve passed the test.

3. How Much Applause

Applause is a kind of respect. If the audience did it, they have respected you. Actually, the audience will do applause if you will do something well, and if you have done something well.

So, we can think that applause is a kind of “score” for public speakers. It indicates how good you are in speaking. Applause can also be a kind of appreciation of your work--like its content, design, etc..

4. How People Laugh Out Loud because Of Your Joke

Laughing is a kind of emotion, and it is actually a kind of appreciation too. People will laugh because there’s something funny, or because they want to appreciate someone’s joke, or maybe both. Audience’s laugh also indicates how are they paying attention to you. So, this thing show two things: showing how much the audience appreciate you, and showing how audience are paying attention to you.

5. When You Feel That...

You can look into yourself and find out where you do good and where you don’t. You can score yourself from how you smile, how is your posture, etc.. You are the person who knows yourself the most.

Well, those are things that can bask you with proud. Those things can also be the indicator of your own public speaking performance.

Yeah, that’s all from me now, thanks for reading!
